They're Baack.

If you look closely you can still see some spots on his back (click on picture). There were actually two males and one female here this morning. The female was chasing crows around the yard. When one of the males saw a groundhog, he wasn't too sure what to make of it and was walking back and forth, bobbing his head up and down.

High Water

The last time we were at camp I took a picture of the land dock. Normally the water level is a good 1-1/2 feet below the top and the end of the dock is just at water level. But as you can see, due to all the rain lately, the water level is much higher than normal. I've never seen the water level this high.

SOOooiee

Yesterday we went to a pig roast at Jenn's parents. It took all day to cook, but the results were well worth the wait. It was tender and delicious.

Three Amigos

We brought a friend to camp this past weekend and educated him on two new culinary delights. The first was fried Persians and the second (ugh!) was ghost gum, which is what you see in the picture.

Kevin (Phil & Pat) got a Gold medal in Team Kata and a Bronze in Individual Kata. For the Team Kata they had to go up against other Black Belt teams. Woo Hoo! Way to go Kevin!

This is the six I saw two days ago, on my lawn. I saw six more this morning (probably the same six). The sixth one is way to the left.

A Sure Sign of Spring

Spring is here (again) and with it comes the local wildlife. The deer are here almost every day, and we see anywhere from two to nine of them in the field.
